Atmobits | Max for Live devices for unusual timbres and soundscapes

€20

Atmobits is a collection of eight Max for Live devices oriented towards the creation of atmospheric and unusual timbres and soundscapes. It features pocket synthesizers, sample manipulators, and effects that are both tweakable and ready to deliver interesting sounds as soon as you load them. The devices featured are:

  • Bitmask: A synthesizer with an unusual signal path, based on bitwise operations. Even if you don’t know how it works internally, tweak its parameters (or click the randomize button) and discover a world of weird digital patterns. With the right parameters, it can deliver dreamy pads and leads too!
  • Drainst: An additive synthesizer with detailed control over the time evolution of each partial. With little effort, you can mold the sound in complex and evolving ways.
  • Droplets: A granular sample player that generates droplets of sound with the characteristics you choose. Perfect for evolving walls of sound or for occasional appearances of sound fragments within a broader sonic landscape.
  • Fastmos: A pocket effect that can easily turn any kind of input into a forest of echoing sounds. Try it with vocals first, but don’t forget to experiment with any other sound source.
  • Pokepad: A subtractive synth able to generate instant silky and beefy pads.
  • Perfume: A unique take on FM synthesis. This small yet powerful synth excels at creating bells and pads, but you can tweak it to produce unusual drones, basses, and bizarre sound effects.
  • Vapasar: A complex sample player where you can fine-tune the parameters of each of the five replicas of the original sound. Use it to create glitchy soundscapes or subtle variations of loops and samples. Tweak the many parameters and discover how to turn even a single-note sample into a universe of sounds.
  • Wotwisp: A tiny soundscape maker that creates ephemeral, high-pitched "flames" from an audio input or an internal generator.
